I work with male and male-identified clients, and my research on masculinity makes me uniquely qualified to work with boys and men of all ages. My clients often choose me because they wish to discuss:

• Family conflict
• Sexuality, sexual orientation, and sexual development
• Gender and gender orientation, including Trans and masculinity
• Men’s issues
• Identity issues

I’ve been working with adolescents since 1990, when I was employed at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Mostly, I do Family Therapy, which involves the entire family coming to my office to work through problems. The reason is simple: problems rarely affect just one person; they typically influence the way everyone in the family acts and cause strain between various family members. By having the entire family attend therapy, we can address all of those issues. For teens and young adults living at home, family therapy is often the most effective (and shortest) form of treatment.

I also do Individual Therapy,working one-on-one with clients. This is geared primarily toward older teens, young adults, and men of all ages.
